Sorry guys, but I have to vent.

I finally found an auction on E-bay for the side markers I wanted on my car. I ended up winning the auction for $150 shipped... which is fair, but a little under the going rate from my perspective.

Time goes by, item does not arrive.

Message seller, get this as response almost immediately. "Oh, I am so sorry, we must have sent them to the wrong person, I've issued you a refund."

B.S. He didn't want them to sell so cheap, and he still has them for sale on his freakin web page for $200!

This is TOTAL GARBAGE...

Anyone around Twin Peaks Cali feel like paying them a visit? lol.

Start the mediation process through eBay/PayPal or tell your credit card company that the seller is a fraud and enact their process. You'll get your money back either way... just need to do some work for it, unfortunately.

I think he is getting a refund, I think the issue is why would a seller put an item on ebay if they were not going to honor the selling price, it is one of the reasons why I usually do not even consider ebay for purchases any more, I have had too many sellers flake out when I get the item for a good price.

Bought much stuff off of ebay and never been fleeced - but I ran into a similar seller who refused to "accept" my Paypal payment (didn't know that was possible - maybe he closed his account?) and so the deal never went through. After 30 days Paypal returned the funds to me. Problem was since the deal never happened, I could not leave negative feedback. I suspect if your money is refunded you'll be in the same boat. Bummer.

I can order them from italy for ~130. Go to ebay and look at sold auctions. Auctions = what something is worth. He has no right to do this.

I would report the seller to ebay. The only reason to run an auction is to hope there is a bidding war and the item sells for more than it's worth, otherwise sell for Buy It Now. It's common for sellers to have a separate ebay account and bid against potential buyers or have a friend bid it up

its worth a few dollars to me to buy in the US. Having something imported comes with inherent difficulties.

Just want to make sure I am justified in leaving this guy negative feedback:

after the period in which my item was set to arrive had passed, I sent the seller a message asking what was going on and got this response the same day
"HI,
Let me check and I'll get back to you in an hour.I am out of the office until then."

after a few hours

"I just checked and I am not sure what happened because we show that the parcel was packaged and label created but I can not track it. this was my last set.it's possible it went out and was sent the wrong person. I have issued a full refund including shipping.i am very sorry for the issue."

To which I replied that I needed the turn signals, and expected them to sort things out on their side. A week went by and he never responded.

After this, I sent him another message
"HI, any update? One more time, I need these side markers."

To which he replied
"Like I said they were packaged and now we cannot find them.
I refunded your entire payment via PayPal. I am expecting new markers from italy but I wont receive then for another 3 weeks"

I think he wasn't happy with the price on the auction, and decided not to send them.

If he has another set for sale ask him to send you the ones currently listed for the price you paid; and indicate that it looks like he has inventory. Kind of tuff though if he has issued you a full refund....... As you would have to pay again...... If he refuses then slam him on eBay

It's one of the reasons that folks list a reserve price..... To make sure they get the minimum they are willing to sell for.
