Divace Update

Post by divace73 »

Hi All

Just thought I'd start a new thread on the update of my car and what I get up to (which is not that much really), my latest adventure as some of you may know was the 2014 Fiat Nationals in January (In Sydney Australia) and since then, the only thing I have done recently is replace the front right wheel bearings . There was a track day on today but I couldn't make it :( .
Prior to the Nationals I put a bit of time in changing the interior of my car from the Blue to a dark read/ox blood colour. So here is how the car turned out.
Image

I will soon get a pic of the carpet I installed, the seats still need doing.

Here is s pic of me doing the mototkhana on the Saturday Morning at the nationals, and it was a stinka of a day, close to 40degC
Image

ann here is my best lap on the Sunday, (some of you may recognise this) just click in the image

Nice driving, mate. Bet you're glad the summer's over and autumn is cooling things off.

Many thanks KidDingo, the Sunday wasn't too bad but the Saturday was a shocker. I do like the cooler climate.

Love the track day video. What device captures all the data?

You guys are pretty serious about your track days, here they do not allow passing (but them people with no racing experience can go too).

Hey Csaba

It is a Video Vbox by Racelogic, it's one of the products we sell. It also allows you to analyse your driving lines using circuit tools to improve lap times. There are agents in the US that sell the same product.

We normally do the super sprints and are only allowed to overtake down designated straights. I know when I do track days I drive to improve my times as most of us do down here (I think our Fiats actually love to be driven like that). I only wish it was one of those sports that didn't cost so much (especially if something goes wrong), you know what they say...to make a small fortune in motor racing you need to start off with a really big one....

One of my favorite sayings. The other one is "the substitute for cubic inches are rectangular dollars" :-)
