This car would be an oddball if you have it, a green 1981 that in 2001 was fitted with an entire pininfarina interior and a new 2000 motor. You would have gotten it in Biloxi, MS, or thereabouts from a family that was moving post-Katrina, 2005 or 2006...
These were taken before the interior was replaced but after the engine was installed:

Curious to know if it still exists.

Mine is a green 81 but not that one. What's special about it other than the engine and interior?

Nothing really, just wondering if it survived. I forgot all about it until I was switching computers and found a folder with pictures of it. I bought it from a guy in Atlanta where it had sat under a tree for years, put in good gas and a battery and it fired right up. He was pretty unhappy about that from what I recall, telling me I had to tow it etc. because he couldn't get it to run. I recall there being nothing wrong with it at all except oil leaks from every single gasket and seal, hence the engine replacement.MrWampus wrote:Mine is a green 81 but not that one. What I found interesting about the whole deal was the pininfarina dash is really wired the same as the FIAT dash, just things going to different locations because the switches are in different places. It was also fun to rig up the A/C (it had A/C) to use the center vents, which wasn't a stock thing to begin with.
In all it was a pretty car that ended up with a very rare interior...I recall paying $550 for an entire interior at the time. Makes me want to choke today! Couldn't find that, in original bags, if I wanted to!
