The 1608 I have has the 1.4 head on it
The 1.4 in the 69 had a 1608 head on that. I did not do any of this swapping
Replacing my 1438 for a 2L in my 68, Opinions?

ExactIy what I was looking for, especially if I decide to keep my 1438 (which I am more and more tending towards). I am going to pass this on to my mechanic to get his opinion and see if he is willing to do some/all of your recommendations. Only mods done to my motor so far is the elec dist.
I've has a few dealings with Pete, great guy.
