Well, I'm going to pass. However this ebay Spider has a Corvette LT1 V8, and just in case that's not enough juice, there's a nitrous bottle in the trunk. And all yours for $3,500.

Somehow, I knew we would hear from Brad on this post...
I've decided when I finish my car, my post will be something like:
NOT your grandmother's.....or Brad Artigue's spider!!!!
Brad, don't take it wrong! I have a lot of respect for your expertise and opinion, and all that you have done to share your knowledge with all of us! That said, I am doing a resto-mod and I know how you feel about that!

I did a resto-mod on mine and happy with all aspects. On this one, I agree 100% with Brad.

the body looks pretty rough besides the rust. $3500 is the opening bid, somehow I doubt he'll sell it for that
Re: "If you're a 124 enthusiast, you'd be a fool not to buy it"
I'll bet you can't hardly drive that thing. Handles like crap. Rattles and bangs. The vast majority of franky things like that are pretty much junk IMHO. Pull it onto a trailer and take it to car shows. Drive it??
I want a car I can climb in and go for a drive and enjoy.
Reminds me of the post "I love this car!" that I just barely started to read. "I love this car!" so much that I am gonna change everythign about it.
I'm with brad, poor car.

With power like that it can use Mark's big brakes setup. Tiny ventless rotors just don't cut it.

i can see a roadrunner and coyote scenario forming. Fiat by ACME!

Hey I'm posting on a forum that has an incomplete example of a Spider on the banner - and worse yet, it's not even a FIAT...SoFlaFiat wrote:Somehow, I knew we would hear from Brad on this post...

Good point brad, hey Mark, how about changing the banner to a 68 with the purest form that PF intended? Not that I own one but im sure someone here does. Who owns the car in the banner?
How about a picture thread contest to find a new banner car? Anyone...?
My 71 for consideration...

George - that is beautiful.
I'm almost tempted to put the rally hood back on mine and get a photo shoot done..... pretty convinced it would upset though...
