I'm a pretty seasoned Fiat owner since I've owned four Spiders, have restored two of them, helped a friend with a motor swap, clutch and brake rebuild, have rebuilt a motor, replaced multiple timing belts, repaired wiring problems, did body work, replaced tops and upholstery, etc., and am currently restoring another one. I've done about everything to the cars except rebuild a transmission and differential.
I ran into a possible problem I've never seen before, searched the site and found the answer. The shop manual didn't cover the testing procedure, a Chilton's manual also didn't cover it....yet I found Vandor (Csaba) and Mark Allison answered the same question back in 2006.
No matter how much experience you have, it seems you can always learn something on this forum. To all who contribute, to those who host the site, to all who provide tech advice, to all who post their problems...thank you. This site is fantastic!
Thankful for this site

John -
Thanks for those really nice words. Your post really brings home the real value of this site.
Y'all may notice I'm doing my annual prompt for donations and I think your post should be the prime example of why it's important that we all pitch in every year to keep us online. I must say, as an internet professional and participant in many online forums, I believe we have one of the most pleasant and flat out smart group of people that exists out there in the digital world. Thanks to all of you and here's to a great 2014!

This forum has been a godsend for me. Happy to make a small monetary contribution (just did via PayPal). Thanks Evan and Mark for all your great work.
