Someone needs to adopt this...

First of all, it's one of my favorite Spider colors (same as mine...), and if the 11k is true, it's one hell of a deal.

If I had the cash, I'd be on the way to SC to pick it up, now.

My guess is that the odometer has rolled once already.

It's an 81, so it should be a 6-digit odometer. However, as we all know, it's a Fiat. What should be and what actually happens are two different things, especially with our cars. :P

"It's an 81, so it should be a 6-digit odometer."

I had two 1981 Spiders and both had a 5 digit odometer.

The steering wheel shows that the odometer turned over already and the car itself does not look special at all.
Also, how long has the car been siting and does it even run?

car shows signs of a repaint. looks like rust along the drivers door and neighboring panels. good little dent in the trunk lid. Fronts seats look great. wonder if the plenum was pulled to shoot ether in the motor. Engine compartment looks complete and original.

Odd.. Mine is an 81, and it has a 6-digit. Also, how does the steering wheel indicate the odometer has rolled over? It's a bit out of the way for me to go look at, but the 11k mileage did make me do a double-take.

The wear on the steering wheel (see it on the spokes where they connect to the grip), as well as the wear you can see on the center console certainly indicates more than 11,000 miles of use.

D'oh... Blame the fancy 1920x1080 display on my 12" laptop. Makes it really, really hard to pick out the little details in small images. Doubly so when I've been sacrificing sleep to work on the Fiat.

I agree, not a low mileage car. The reflection on the driver's side of the car is worrisome (bodywork). The passenger side reflection is more consistent with a normal reflection. $3200 is not a bad asking price if rust is truly minimal.

Right off the bat, engine is way to grimy to be 11,000 miles. High mileage car, easily.

I called Chris on the car. Does not run, but ran while parked.

Sounds like some rust, but minor.

Stored since 2001.

$2500 will be all it takes to adopt.
