Atlanta Spiders

Post by Exit98 »

So I was cruising Craigslist last night and came across some interesting Spiders. In Atlanta there were three that caught my eye. Of course we can only go by the description and let's just assume for now there aren't serious rust issues. First up is a 72, my favorite year. This looks like it has some real potential:

Next is a 76 like mine and the seller has quite a story. He unfortunately reports that he's suffered a serious accident (not in the Spider) after completing extensive work. Could be quite a find and his price is reasonable if the car checks out:

And finally another 76 for $9K. Don't know about that, but it looks nice. I'd want to know if the "leather" is real or imagined.

And here's a hard top that needs work for $50:

The 72 also has a header with header wrap to keep it cool to work nearby and not fry things in the engine compartment.

Nice price if there is nothing bad.

Doug,
I know it's been a long winter, but stop torturing yourself  Only a few more weeks, bud!

I can't make the 23rd; maybe next one.

Good luck with the weather today ... man, I've about had the $%!ts of this

If I had the extra money,I would have already bought the 72.I have my Miata on the market, and if it sells soon I may still go get it.I have missed so much work with this screwed up weather, that play money is non-existent!That car has been listed for quite a while.I do want to ask the owner about that passenger door.Something isn't right there.

Bernie, Its sittling in the garage calling out my name. The way things are going its going to be May before all the salt is washed off the roads.

You guys got nailed yesterday. Hope you have power. Here on the coast we just got a sloppy mess, but inland, oh boy!

We got nineteen on Wed. and 3-4 last night. I don't have any place to put the new stuff (with more on the way tonite!) :?

The Mrs. reports spectacular weather in SoCal this week. Wait 'till she gets home this evening

She will have a neat Valentine's gift, however; I'll drive to the airport, clean off her car and move it to a clear spot. That should be worth a couple of points towards my next dumb stunt.
