the only guys left in LA that I'm aware of are Santos. They're Alfa specialists but also do Fiat

Re: Trusted Los Angeles Mechanic
I do wanna come to your spot one day though mark.
i have a car that was taken care by jack (jack's fiat) for 30 years and after purchase of the car (9 months ago) i kept taking it to him. After multiple tune-ups, replacement of sooo many parts, serviced everything more than once... i almost lost a wheel cause the ball bearings were so bad and one of them disintegrated and left the wheel hanging from a hair.
Soooo... im gonna figure out another option
i need the front-end rebuilt cause i have a bent lower arm ball joint which makes the car pull to the left really hard, at the same time all of my bushings in front and rear arms are super worn out so i thought of buying the whole set with bushings already pressed in and have someone install it..
do you think it's a good idea? or should i take it to a specialist for a job like this?
thank you so much.

Hi!
You can also go to Vittorio at Alfa Italia n Burbank if they are closer. They work on Alfas mostly but have done great on my fiat.

I don't know of any mechanics that will guarantee their work if you purchase the parts.

Keep in mind distance in LA is measured in hours in traffic, not by distance. I've driven 20 miles in LA traffic many times and had it take three hours.

Re: Trusted Los Angeles Mechanic
The guys at Alfa Italia in Burbank are very good. They frequently do full restorations (100% tear downs), and in fact did exactly that with our spider, for the PO, who I bought it from. When we lived in LA they did a lot of work on the coupe, and it was all good. Vittorio does most of the work on FIATS, while Onofre mainly works on Alfas. They have been there for years, and both own and drive FIATs and Alfas.

Re: Trusted Los Angeles Mechanic
Another recommendation for Mark, even though he may be a bit further away. It's always a 40-mile drive/tow to get my car to him, but it's worth it.
Santo's Alfa shop was the first place I took my car when I first bought it and it had ignition problems. When I got the car back, the problem wasn't fixed but they charged me $200 for an ineffective tune-up. After that, they were out of ideas. Felt very ripped-off and won't go back, even if I get another Alfa.
