Kinda Strange Craigslist Ad

Post by Exit98 »

5 fuzzy pictures. Says one is a 67, not running, and one is a 69 used regularly. Wants $25K for both.

He knows what he's got but for what he's looking for you'd think he'd put a little more effort into the ad copy.

Anyway don't you wish there was someway you could find out what happens to some of these cars once the ads go away?

Hey Mark, want a 67, its in your neighborhood?

I suspect he's forgotten a decimal point and his $25K is really $2.5K or $2500.00.

Another strange Craigslist, now on the east coast.

No pictures, Wall Street, NYC, a 67 "needing restoration" for $25K.

What's going on?

I'm guessing based on the price, the "Dino" and the placement of the heater controls that this is not a 124 Spider, but rather a Dino Spider. That would be a pretty resonable price for a restoration candidate if it were a Dino Spider.

Same car, same seller
Now that's funny. I was about to tell you you were nuts, then I looked at the phone number.

Well, anyway, it seems a funny way to market the car, but I guess if someone is trying to find a real 67 they might stumble across the ad. And its free so what's to lose.

Still though, $25K? I don't think so.

I guess it's not a Dino then ... just an overpriced 124 Spider.
