Great Job !!!

Will you replace the licence plate lights with originals ? , I have just replaced my bumpers and still need to remove the old licence lights… have found the light fittings that insert into the ends of the bumpers at Spider Point… Just to complete the look.

Enjoying your progress :D

Cheers

thank you both. Regarding the licence plate lights, not sure which way to go really. I should have planned this better, and filled in the holes on the rear panel and used the the lights that fit on the rear bumper. Got to put some thought into this.....
Love to see your conversion.

Cheers will keep you in the loop…

Will be installing mine in January when I'm on short leave , got the same problem but will just use hole infills until my beater can fix it up… also contemplating early turn signals but not sure if the cut out holes are bigger, if so I won't go there…

I have heard that the old style bumper license plate lights are not fitting correctly on the replica stainless steel bumpers. Has anyone made this work? I have the stainless bumpers and I would like to get Spider Points plate lights but I would like the opinion of someone who has done this...of course photos are always good!

Love your car!!

The OEM plate lights do not fit the Harrington SS bumpers. I fabricated a fit using dome style lights for pick up truck bumpers. I posted pictures on an earlier thread. "License Plate Light Mod" posted March 30.

weather in UK has not been on my side this winter, it's non stop rain all the time, so progress on my resto is on the slow side, so i got on with cleaning the jack instead!
Mind you this weekend the sun came out for a bit so the rear brake pipes, hand brake and calipers are now on the car....

hi, the spring came with that plastic netting, which i believe acts as an anti squeak. Regarding the wiring and the rest of the build, i simply took hundreds of photos, and on every connector and junction pair i put masking tape and wrote a note or a matching number. Time will tell if any of that will be of help!
