Highly recommend you utilize a flex coupler somewhere along the exhaust system when using Mark's "twisted" header.
My kit did not include one at the time I purchased the complete 2' 1/5" system (I believe now they do.)

Speaking of welds, it developed so many cracks at the base that it ended up being trashed.

Good luck

I do have one on order,
The reason why I ask , was that I am going to try get one made where the welds are ground and polished, so you can't see the welds, but that just a thought , I do have them checking for me

Mighty 8, I dont what you did with your header, but mine dosent have ANY cracks or damage. And mine is one of the very first ones made. I dont have a flex pipe either.

Mine neither - pristine condition.

Rey - question - your engine mount looks remarkably A1.... Does the heat from the header not impact it? I've replaced mine and wrapped it in heat shield...

Andy, is your header ceramic coated? That helps. Also there is a factory heat shield that fits between the header and mount.

Yep - ceramic coated. I think it's the heat shield I was missing. I'll go a hunting for one...

header wrap = bad news, in all of my experiences, from street cars to race cars. in race cars its ok, because you will replace the headers more often.

header wrap does a great job keeping heat in, and not allowing it to escape into your engine compartment. now where does that heat go and what gets affected because of the new found heat. the header! the exhaust now super heats the header and causes it to become brittle, ask me how i know! then headers crack and fail. this is not a design flaw in the header.

Let's see.... I purchased it. And then I put it on my car. And around 10 months later it went into a garbage can.

I spoke with someone at Mark's who inquired whether I had a coupler included in my purchase or not. I didn't. He mentioned his kits now include a coupler.

I'm glad other guys are not reporting problems like the one I experienced. I'm just passing along information that was passed along to me from the source to prevent any cracks that may develop in these expensive components.
