Spark module

Post by Baz »

I wonder if someone would go look at the electronic module mounted with the coil and tell me where the wires from the radiator end of the module go to. There are two wires and on mine, one side goes to the pos on the coil and the other goes to the neg...not sure this is correct. Still can't get it started, and I suspect the module has been connected the wrong way and blown the diodes. Thanks men....

B goes to the positive side of the coil, C goes to the negative.

Ok....now got spark back....problem ??? The line from the neg side of the coil to the rev counter has earthed somewhere...how bout that ?? FYI !!!

Now I have spark, but still won't fire,,,,backfires thru the carb and the exhaust,,,WTF now ???

This has to be a timing issue, but I have touched nothing on that side if it. Could the timing belt have jumped a tooth ? has my car found God ?
Yes I will do the TDC thing....check the position of the dizzy...can we confirm that the marks near the plugs on the head are correct and plug leads are connected to the corresponding cap number ? Any help appreciated...I am going back to my coloring books....

Line up the crank and cam timing marks. Make sure they all line up. The distributor rotor should be pointing toward the #4 spark plug wire connection.
