Automatic choke spring

Post by FordPrefect »

Hey there, everyone! After a long uninterrupted period of pure driving joy, the little spring in my (32 ADFA) autotomatic choke broke, leaving me with a car that's impossible to start due to the choke being stuck.

Any ideas where I can find a replacement spring?

Search for a junked carburetor and get it out of there. Same spring was used on all of the ADxxxxx carburetors.

or replace the water choke with an electric cover, they come with the spring in them

Thought I should get back to you guys. I ended up twisting a couple of coils in the spring into a new loop, as the break occurred right at the end. Everything looks OK for now, thanks for the tips.

Where would I look for an electric choke, by the way?
