I got this off the Hemmings Motor News blog.

Presumably he didn't have to make any right turns.

I remember those days. I spent a lot of time in my 72 Spider cruising the streets of NYC that year.

my 124 spider was a daily driver for 23 years. In that period, i hauled everything from canoes to 55 gal drums (full). The funniest was when I managed to strap on 2 wicker king's chairs. I'm working my way home through the side streets when an block in front of me, I watched an oncoming vehicle smack head-on into a parked car because the driver was too busy looking at me.

Wicker chairs from Pier 1 in 1991, in a 79 Spider with the top down. The car is made for cheap chair hauling.

We have all done it, space is almost unlimited.

My 124 has hauled plywood and drywall resting on the roll bar and windshield. Pipe, 2x4's and anything long through the passenger footwell and as long as I dare.

My 4 door 131 once hauled 33 cases (24 bottles each) of Heineken for a party. It was my first and only low rider.

So I was looking through some old photo albums with my folks and I came across this photo

So in June 1985 my Dad sold his boat. The guy who bought it, came to pick it up in his Fiat. What are the odds?
