Try this for a laugh.
So I was in my driveway, as one of the wifes customers for daycare comes up to get his kid.
"Working on the FIat again huh?" he says.
"Nope" says I, "Just topping off the oil for my horn".........
The look on his face was priceless.
Some folks just don't get it.

That's hilarious! I wonder if he'd fall for the rotating the air in his tires routine.

Next time tell him that you are just finising up replacing the Whacken Bushing on the Johnson Rod and that ought to give you another 10 horsepower.

Maybe the later model owners didnt get it. I went to a lot of effort to install an early set of air horns. The car just aint right without that air horn sound. What I did find was the shorter horn comes in 2 different lengths. This gave me the choice of the pair being separated by a whole or half pitch.

That reminds me. I haven't checked the oil in my air horns for ages.

Love the early air horn.
That piercing sound shocks the crap out of the idiots that decide it's OK to cut off my classic car.
Exactly the same sound as the horns on the "choke and puke" catering trucks that visit most construction sites around here. So...you guessed it, as I drive by construction sites, I slow down, tap the horn twice (beep, beep) and watch them drop their tools looking for the junk truck.
Nasty but priceless!
Guys like me, get their kicks in weird ways.
That's why I luv my Fiat!

"if this one lands me in hot water go easy on me…. "
I work in an elderly residential and rehab center where I do a lot of teaching folks how to use different methods to bathe and dress,... etc. That pic is going up on the wall Monday morning,.... we all need to laugh sometimes!

Re: Try this for a laugh.
What type of oil do you use for the air horn compressor and how much?
Re: Try this for a laugh.
3 in 1 oil.... Ball bearings and gauze pads in mine.
Love the visual of that one Tom!

We would tell people we had ''saved'' their compressor. Still pretty funny how you presented that.
