Is there a valve shim from another car brand that is a substitute for the FIAT shim? I have found quite a bit of interchangeability with other cars.
It would be particularly good to have an interchange with a car brand still on the market so I can just got to the dealer service dept. and not have to wait for mail order.

Re: Valve shim interchnage
I use shims from the old Volvo's. The neighbor was a Volvo tech and he has/had a fair number for me to pick from. All have worked just fine in my engines the past 6-7 years. I have bought the odd one from dealers/vendors though.
I remember in my first spider 38 or more years ago, a Volvo model's u-joints were the same as my 70 spider and was half the cost. The dealer was a Volvo-Fiat dealer in North Van at the time.
