hissing when turning over
hissing when turning over
When starting the car and it's first turning over, a hissing noise as if pressure is escaping somewhere, any ideas? Can't locate where it is coming from. Haven't heard it while running only first turning over

How are the brakes? Perhaps the diaphragm in the booster has a hole/tear. Mine had a hissing sound when the car was idling.

Loose spark plugs.
Is your air cleaner off? Carburetors hiss before the motor catches - it is always muffled by an air cleaner.

I did just have the spark plugs out so I'll double check them.
