I'm hoping to get some advice about the placement of the radiator overflow tank. I need to reposition it so I can fit some "go faster" stuff under the bonnet/hood.
Does it matter what height the tank is placed? Can it be placed a little lower than stock or should it be at certain level to make it operate correctly? I hope this question makes sense.

Re: Overflow Tank Position
Shouldn't be an issue, later 131s came out with the bottle beside the radiator, with the end of the hose in the bottle being at a level below halfway down the radiator. The earlier models had the bottle up on the strut tower, I've used both versions in my car without trouble.

Re: Overflow Tank Position
generally they are about the same height as the radiator, but I've seen some mounted below the level of the top tank
Re: Overflow Tank Position
Martin: if you need more room. This tank takes up very little space. Easy to mount also.

Thanks Tuc124. I saw your earlier post about that tank. Looks really neat too. I'm going to try repositioning the stock tank but if I don't manage it I'll go down your route.
