I just got a 1979 2000 - actually the very same car that my parents had when I was a kid. I purchased it from a friend of the family who had it for the last ten years in NY. The car is definitely happier here in California!
Had to do a fair amount of engine work - or I should say I had a great mechanic do it as I'm unfortunately not so mechanically inclined...yet.... I'm going to try and restore the interior once I nail a few more engine "opportunities"
