a 124 sedan based convertible. 200k peso's maybe, not that it is not unique and nice, even one of a kind. but that sounds real strong to me, as it probably has a 1200cc based pushrod motor

that's not sedan based re-make, it's an original car. maybe not worth 200k, but still one off, made by famous caroserista...

I'm rooting for him that he gets 200 grand for it. It's about time the world recognizes the true value of our cars!

it was a one off using sedan parts, and some custom pieces as well. but the sedan parts bin was used in making of that vehicle. i do also agree that the value of fiats should be better than what they are, just for the technical inovation alone.

looking at these photos of the same car from 60's, it might as well still be in the same mansion

In the B&W photos I do not see the Touring badges like on the eBay pics. I wonder if those were added to reinforce the provenance. This might worth more as the last car Touring made (if that's true) than as a unique Fiat 124.

seller did say that it was restored in 1988, maybe badges were added then.

If things had gone differently in 1966, we'd all be talking about our Superleggera Cabriolets instead of our Spiders. Just as the Allante killed the 124 Spider, the 124 Spider killed the 124 Cabrio Sedan... well that and the coach builder went bankrupt. The Cabrio was offered at almost the same price as the Berlina and dealers had ordered over a thousand copies in 1966... but regrettably only one was built before Agnelli opted for the 124 Spider instead... which sealed the fate for Carrozzeria Touring.

Ive personally always wanted this particular car... just like boxy I suppose. Unfortunately my wife said no.... oh and its $200K that might have something to do with it too.

It would look great if it was lowered, different wheels and a different body.
