To date the leak has not reappeared. Every Saturday morning I let the car warm up for two fan cycles and weather permitting I drive the car all weekend long. Since I first saw the leak in my above photo I've been trying to make it happen again but simply can not...

Although I'm happy to be driving it I'd almost rather know if I have a problem or this was simply a one time issue.

I finally found the leak. I was just about to put the car away after warming it up in the driveway when the steam started poring out from under the hood. The mysterious leak had finally shown itself again and I was able to get a good look at it this time.

In the zoom section of the photo you can see the coolant streaming out near the base of the hose by plug 3. I've never been happier to find a leak on my car, and can not wait for address this and cross it off my list.
