Finding 124 Spider

I know this is a long shot, but maybe someone out there has some information or can help me find a car I owned in 1973, 74.

In 1973 I bought a used 1970 to 72 Fiat 124 Spider. It was the first car that I ever owned and I think I was the 2nd owner of the car. It was red with black interior and was absolutely my favorite most enjoyable handling car I have ever owned. I was recently thinking about getting another 124 Spider or possibly finding the original – probably a long shot, because I no longer have the VIN or even the old license number. Does anybody have any ideas about retrieving records from that period to locate a previously owned car or have any information that can lead to any information about this car. It”s nice to see others that appreciate and enjoy these cars as much as I did. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
