Best battery (cold weather)

Post by MIGHTY 8 »

Hello all,

Considering the detrimental effects of starting an engine with very cold outside temps... I wanted to ask what is a recommended battery for our spiders for us up in the NE USA.

Currently have some generic brand, but for the low cost aspect wouldn't mind to hear some insight from other people here up in the cooler climates.

Thank you.

If your area is subject to harsh winters and sub-freezing temperatures, then it's important to pay attention to the battery's cold-cranking amps (CCA) figure. This number refers to how many amps the battery can put out at 0 degrees Fahrenheit.
