Hoses to Replace

Post by joelittel »

I'd like to know if I can pull these hoses off and replace them without causing myself any issues I may be unaware of.

As well as any recommendations for replacement hoses.

I thought so, but just wanted to be sure I wasn't opening a can of worms.

Thanks

They're all air hoses. Yours actually look to be in pretty good shape. You can buy the OE style braided stuff from Pelican Parts, just match the diameter.

Up close they (the hoses) don't look very good at all... they look way too brittle to trust, frayed like the drawstring on a teenagers favorite hoodie and as old as the car itself.

Thanks for the tip, I'm going to get new ones.

Then swap 'em. I like the braided stuff, but I like the OEM stuff, so I'll source them a Porsche place like Pelican. Silicone stuff works fine if you like that look, but it definitely looks different.

I'll check out both types. The braded ones do have a certain appeal to them.

Replaced all vacuum hoses with black ones from autozone. Nothing fancy and I'm happy with the stock-ish look.
