I have a Custom/Snugtop hardtop for my 1977 Spider. This is the more-angular top with large, rectangular rear widow and glass, rear, side windows.
How do the side brackets attach to the car? Must the convertible top be removed to attach the hardtop? How do I get the soft top off intact?
Also, I need new weatherstrips around the door-window openings. What is the source for these? Custom Hardtops is not very promising.

Re: Attaching hardtop
On the original hardtop the conv top is kept in place, but you remove its rear bow where it bolts to the rear edge, so the hardtop has a uniform surface it can sit/seal on.
