I'm a new owner of a 71'. It's my first Fiat, and I'm looking to find some touch-up paint if possible. The car has been re-painted once in the original color which the previous owner called "porsche yellow". On one of the other paint discussion threads I found a link to some original swatches and I think my car is the "colorado yellow #241". If so, where can I actually get that paint?
Thanks!

Re: how to get touch-up paint
Finding an exact touch up color on a re-spray is going to be difficult depending on how long ago the car was painted. If you know anyone in the paint business with a digital color analyzer that may be the best bet. Around 2002 i had a shop match my paint usine some elctronic paint machine and they gave me the closest color match code available. I then ordered the paint and it was a perfect match.

Re: how to get touch-up paint
I have ordered from http://www.automotivetouchup.com. I've been trying to find a decent color for my '68 and ordered a couple of bottles of touchup paint in codes 120 (racing red) and 413 (Periwinkle). I've also ordered paint for a '99 Subaru with good results.ericg wrote:good advice. thanks. where did you order the paint from?
Re: how to get touch-up paint
Hi, I'm relatively new to the fourm. I just purchased a 1969 Fiat Spider 124 that was restored and painted Colorado Yellow (Code #241). Can anyone tell me if that is an original Fiat color for 1969? I was hoping it wasThanks.

I have had great results matching my Spider's color. Went to the cosmetics counter at a pharmacy with a sample of my color, matched it up with a nail polish color......tried it on the car, & voila! The match is virtually imperceptible....Quick, easy, & durable. I realize that not all body colors may have a match.

Best way to get it right is to take the gas cap lid off and have them match it at the shop. The can even put it in a spray can for you.. cost about $25 to $50.
