the last ride of 2013

A nice day last week, took her for one last ride. Been quite the summer, put 3k or so on her. Hardly opened the hood. This is first year I never had to clean idle jet. I never washed her. jeesh. Not that washing the ratty paint job does much good. Never had the top up :) I did clean windshield once or twice. Maybe next year i'll fix some things, front shock are soggy soft, rear axle seals leak. Puffs a bit more smoke when starting, and leaks plenty too. Been a smear of oil on the radiator cap the last few years, I have a head gasket around here somewhere. Exhaust system rotten from one end to other, still a nice throaty sound tho. Next year.
Into a shed she goes, when she comes out, nobody know.

If either of your parts cars have the open ended wrench (double-ended) from the tool kit, let me know. Thanks!

Yeah, first year I haven't made it. And I just got the rear end back in the car too. That four letter word "w o r k" got in the way.
Sorry I missed it, but I'll be there again next year.
Hope you all had a good day.

Needed to get away from all the honey do's so in spite of a dodgy starter I took my 75 for a spin to visit friends at the RC flying field and make a stop to pick up a new floor jack.
Dropped the top before leaving the driveway and it stayed that way till I got home three hours later.
All ran well with nothing to do but smile with every mile turned and each run thru the gears.
I must say that the new exhaust from Auto Ricambi sounded great echoing off the center divider of hwy 50 as I headed home.
And the note sounded a little lower yet still plenty inspiring probably due to the 3.90 gears I installed from Ramzi and Csaba.
The cruising RPM is a bit lower at freeway speeds but not so low as to take away from the sweet sound made by the exhaust.
