I was watching the Velocity channel last night, specifically "Classic Car Rescue" episode 6 of 6 where they "restore" a 1975 Mini.
This is NOT my favorite show on Velocity, but I watch it anyway for entertainment value.
At the very end of the show, Bernie and Mario are bantering about what car they want to work on next.
They both talk about doing a Fiat 500, but at the very end Mario says he thinks a Fiat Spider would be the ideal car to make over.
Bernie agreed.
Stay tuned for new episodes (if they make any more episodes).
I think we are going to see a Spider on their show.
We may see a Fiat Spider restoration on TV soon

Bernie needs someone to put a boot in his butt when he fires off on people like he does.
TV or not. You can't carry on like that and expect folks to respect you.

+2 on that
I'll watch 'most anything automotive on TV, but this show is an insult to vintage owners and car lovers everywhere. The episode in question, for example, has video touting the revolutionary Mini in rally car racing against the "outdated rear wheel drive" Saabs and Citroens
My biggest beef is that it gives the impression that vintage cars can be professionally restored for peanuts. The dollar figures they quote at the end of the show must have been supplied by members of the US Congress The labor alone exceeds their total number.
Bangla Bangers was funny, but this series stinks. I really hope they don't find a Spider to desecrate.

Yes, there is no doubt that Classic Car Rescue is one of the worst shows on TV.
Poor editing, fabricated crises, horrible acting, botched repairs, etc, etc.
If they do a Spider, lets hope it doesn't end up being thrown off the back of a rollback like the Mini did.

the one that makes me laugh is Wheeler Dealers. they show all the money they lay out for parts but never any labor. i hope the poor mechanic realizes soon the the first guy is throwing the cob up in him (as they say in the south) and kicks him to the curb and starts his own cracking good show!
