I miss the raciness, but its quite a pleasure on the highway now
Easy fix if you still have the stock 75/76 restrictive exhaust header on the car. Get an earlier 4-2-1 header and downpipe set-up and you'll get all the "raciness" back. Huge improvement with minimal effort. After that you can go to a little bigger carb.
Thank you Exit98!

Appears it already has a 421 style header!
I've yet to properly ID the carb model. When I do,
Please remark if its holding it back or not.
Feels like this engine has too much flywheel!

Funny you should mention that. Latest improvement to my Spider is a Miller's Mule lightened flywheel. The difference is amazing.

BTW I replaced my 32ADFA with a 34ADFA.

So, 76 fully de-smogged, no cat, 3:90 rear, 4-2-1 exhaust, upgraded carb and a lightened flywheel and I'm off and running good.

That'll be it for me. No interest in opening the motor or going to cams in the forseeable future.
