Hi everyone,
Need a bit of help with this mysterious leak, originally I thought it was coming from the radiator hoses so I replace them as well as the small gasket from the "T"
The weird part is that it did not leak for a few days and then it started again, then it stopped, now it really flowing...
I posted an unpublished video on YouTube, have a look at it (sorry fate the angle, was trying to get where it's coming from)

Thanks!

Re: Where is this leak coming from?
It seems to be pouring out from under the intake manifold? That implies block leakage?

I'd have my money on the head gasket failing between the edge of the head/block and a water gallery.

Re: Where is this leak coming from?
Hi all,
I'm hoping that leak comes from the intake manifold, does anybody know if you can replace the intake manifold gasket without having to disassemble half of the engine?
I have managed to set free the manifold but I have the oil vapor system in the way, right next to the fuel pump. I attached a pic. How do you take that out?
Let me know!

Remove one end of the small rubber hose, then loosen and remove the vertical bolt shown in the top center of your photo.

Re: Where is this leak coming from?
Hello everyone,
I had tried twice to replace the intake manifold gasket and still have a leak, I have read in a thread that silicone fails in fuel systems? However I saw another thread where you can see that the silicone was used on both sides...
Do anyone know if I should use silicone or not? both sides? And which one?
Let me know!
Luis

Re: Where is this leak coming from?
I've used Permatex "Hylomar Universal Blue" (#85249) on the intake manifold gasket with success. I also use it on the gasket between the carb spacer and intake manifold AND on the gasket between the heater pipe and water pump. Resists both fuel and anti-freeze. Don't over do it.
Places like AutoZone carried it so I'd check there.
If you can find the aerosol version get that.
Just noticed you asked whether to put it on both sides of the gasket. I do.

Re: Where is this leak coming from?
Hello everyone!
So I tried the planing of the manifold used a different gasket (at least made from other materials) and it still has the same issue, so I took it to my vintage Fiat specialist, and Auspider was dead on, it seems to come from the head gasket , that's a job too big for my mechanic skills, so I left it to the pros.
I'm glad I can call this long issue repaired soon...
Cheers!
