I say dont "put them away" at all but keep them garaged and drive them on dry days. (top down) wear hats, gloves, scarves, heck even cool goggles but drive them once every few weeks or so and they willkeepjust fine through all seasons. Our weather here in Portland is famously wet all winter (its started already) but there are always dry days nestled in there and when they hit im tearing around the neighborhood.

Good luck doing that in Minnesota! We have 5 month of snow and it is freeeeezing cold the whole time. I would get stuck in the alley and freeze to death 30 yards away from my house.

Sorry, I am not planing on freezing to death. It will get tucked in the corner of the garage on Friday. Spring thaw is already marked on my 2014 calendar as the highlight of the year.
Every winter I get doubts and ask myself why am I doing this to myself, dealing with that old car and all of it's problems.
As soon as I get it out of the garage and drive it down the block for the first time again I remember why.
