Dang, that's a good looking car. Was that chrome grill on it when you got it Craig? I'm in the same boat you are, all I want to do is drive mine, so anything I'm doing now is mostly cosmetic. Although, I am taking advantage of Ventura Ace's weak spot
(being helpful). So far he and I have changed out the timing belt and tensioner pulley, this thursday we'll be getting together again for more mechanical maintenance. BTW Alvon, the new pulley is on the way from Bruce's. I don't know about the rest of you, but our vendors are getting the lions share of my tax rebate.

Ron ,the chromre grille is complements of ''bumper chrome'' spray paint!Available at a wal-mart near you for 4.99+tax.It looks really good...from about 6 feet. :oops: Did you track down your mystery noise to the pulley?

Good enough for me, I'll just rope mine off with a 6' perimeter when I park! Re. whinning noise, no, it comes and goes, I'm pretty sure at this point it's the oil pump. I'm going to let it go until this winter, just keep an eye on the oil pressure until then. I still need to get an oil pressure gauge though. Last winter, transmission. This winter, oil pump.
