just finished replacing rotors, pad (installed the right way), and KYB excel-Gs all around. Great change all around. the brakes are now very even and predictable. The shocks replaced KYB gas adjusts. The new shocks did just what was needed. Took the hashness out of the ride. My other concern was a change in ride height with new gas shocks. I was hoping the low pressure would do the job. measure the height at the wheel well arches before and after. Here is what i ended up with:
DF: before 25 7/8" after 25 5/8" PF: before 25 3/4" after 25 1/2" DR: before 24 11/16" after 24 3/4" PR: 24 5/8" unchanged.was surprised to see a 1/4" drop on the front. Using stock 71 springs. Quite surprised to see I have a "tail dragger". Not really noticable unless you are looking for it. This puts me back on the road again.

Re: jury is in
Nice to hear this I have a set of these, when I purchased them online I wasn't aware of the change from the
G2 Silver KYBs to these so when they arrived it was a bit of a surprise. I did a little searching on the web to
try and find what had changed between the 2 generations with little luck on details or how they improved/
modified them.

bought them from Ramzi and Csaba at Auto Ricambi. they list them as KYB low pressure gas shocks. The box was marked Excel-G. Now in black instead of silver. AR lists the part numbers as SU8-426 and SU8-465. $29.90 a pop + freight.
