This is not a 124 engine. It is a Mk2 aluminum foil compression press made by Ben Guido Enterprises in Urbino Italy. :mrgreen:

Yeah, that particular forum is a strange combo of professional mechanics, and people who are new to cars. I suppose its a reasonable place to learn stuff, as when someone asks questions, they tend to answer reasonably..

If you notice, they also did get corrected on the fact that its not a SOHC.

If they did tow it, I would wonder how they only damaged 3 of the cylinders. Maybe the timing was off and they towed it?

Looks like the cambelt skipped some teeth while running at high RPM.

Something like this when a stone gets cought in the belt at 6000rpm, the small piston pieces blow back up the intake and causes the throttle plates to stick open. Only way to shut it down, in my case was to kill the ingition switch 5secs after it happen. I can imagine that the owner took a little longer to shut it down.
