Wires near radiator fan

Post by rjkoop »

After I put the rad back in I noticed that there are a number of wires near the alternator belt. For example there is the radiator temp sensor wire (bottom of the rad), the fan power wire and I think 1 other one. Can I just zip tie them to the radiator fan shroud (away from the actual fan)? Can't remember how they were before.

Yes.

I use a small piece (+/- 1" or 25mm)of rubber hose split down the length. The wires are bundled inside the hose segment and then i zip tie to nearest safe convenient location.

The rubber helps insulate from heat and reduces abrasion.
