1974 Spider - Ebay - 15000 Original Miles

Post by Exit98 »

Oh My, I'd sell mine in a heartbeat to get this one. A documented "little old lady" car.

Wonder what their reserve is. If this was mine to sell I'd get it professionally detailed and bring it to one of the big auctions. Original unrestored cars are so hot right now, I think they'd hit a home run.

Maybe Mark, but the ad looks real to me. The documentation and so forth and the obvious originality of the car. Unless you think it was the ad that was stolen. But I watch the classifieds all the time and I've never seen that car before. The documentation includes addresses, phone numbers, and info on the shops that worked on it so it seems it would be easy to verify.

If it is real I think its a $15,000 plus car. If I was buying I'd fly out to see it.

Nine days of bidding left on this one..... Should be interesting to see what a car represented in worth on the ebay market?

From the looks of those repair receipts, it should take a couple of years to get it running right.

Photos and description are not good enough to be ebay Mike.

It's pretty nice but not perfect. I detect some rust in the engine compartment and rocker area. Why did it need a repaint with only 15000 miles, was it stored outside? The seats could use some work to make it show better and bring up the price.

However, it still looks pretty good from the photos provided but I would have someone inspect it before bidding too seriously.
I await the outcome.

Why a repaint? BECAUSE OHIO

Pretty cool but I'd still fear rust...

Cracks me up.
The ad says "unrestored'.
Let's see -- it's been painted, the wheels have been redone, etc, etc.
Oh, that's right -- it's "unrestored"!
Ha.

Still looks like a great car, though.

Looks like about 15-16 bidders on this so far.
I wonder how many of them have actually looked at the car up close and personal?
Pushing 10K I'd want to drive it and have a mechanic go over it before making an offer.
