Strange Horn Behavior?!
OK...here's what my '79 Spider has been doing: When the car is parked & not running, the horn works every time. However, when I'm driving the car & I press the horn button, sometimes it works, sometimes not. Thought I'd ask for advice before I start poking around. Thanks, Don

When you pull the horn out of the steering wheel, clean inside that cavity really well. Use some steel wool and really make sure that it's making a good contact. See if that works first.

Re: Strange Horn Behavior?!
Both of my cars (79 Spider 30 years ago and my current 81) have exhibited strange horn behavior. The first one just went off while parked and locked. I went outside and pulled the button out of the steering wheel and it stopped. Recently in my 81, I took a right turn at an intersection fairly aggressively and the horn started blowing. In both cases I couldn't find anything obviously wrong. I guess the first time my car just missed me and the second time "The Mistress" thought I was being careless and decided to warn others on my behalf. It's just part of the fun of owning a classic Italian car.
