Forum,
My wife and have been tinkering with our 1979 S2000 trying to get it ready for a smog test. I did a rebuild on the 28/32 carburetor. The car has twice as much power, as the vacuum secondary now works. The problem is while the car runs and idles fine it just started to overheat. I know that a coincidental failure is not unheard of I wonder what the likely cause is. I replaced the thermostat as a possible source but despite careful bleeding of the system it still overheats. Temp wise it had been working fine staying near mid gage, 190°. I haven't seen any water leaks. Do Fiats ever break a water pump impeller? Thanks for any help,
Bill
