my painter gave me a roll of painters plastic. it has a side marked "paint toward this side". extremely light weight and very effective. If anything, it is too light. Easy to replace if it tears.

I picked up one of the autozone "Budge" models. It's a #3 I think for small cars it was like $25 pretty cheap but does the job. Ill have a look at the number and let you know. Fits the car pretty good

It's a budge 2. I've also come to find that Halloween and thanksgiving decorations along with guitar boxes, fun jumps, throw pillows, and cat beds make great car cover covers for the extra protection.
**edit**
I've also got the Christmas tree stand protecting the door and various other housewares strategically placed. Can't be too careful.

mike - thanks much. i know our cars are small, but you need to put on a little weight. that's bordering on anorexic.

...Actually that was a friend of mine. He was in his 20s when he came over to help me work on the fiat. Told him to wait out by the car while I went in and helped the wife with something. He was a good friend and waited patiently.
