As part of my work on my Spider I was hunting up some Lancia information. One thing led to another and I hit upon this fantastic restoration.

If you keep clicking on that site, you'll see that Jim Simpson (the artist who restored the Flavia) really wants the Miatia to turn Italian. Really.

I actually spent some time emailing Jim Simpson yesterday. Turns out he is a friend of a friend who specialized in early model Lancias. Small world.

I thought the conversions were pretty amazing work. I am constantly blown away by the craftsmanship folks have. That includes Jim and a lot of the work I see people doing on here too. It is amazing the skills, patience, and vision on display.

But, to each his own!

I drove 4 hours to the track.Ran 20 minute sessions,on track,from 8am to 5pm.Then,I drove 4 hours home thru some ugly t'storms .Love them,hate them but don't underestimate them.They are very capable cars.I love my Spider,but I heap abuse on this thing that I wouldn't consider doing to my Fiat.
