Ebay selling a set, claims verye high quality (ships from England, not China...)
Feedback? What about the mounting kit? Fits nice?
Recommending stainless (theirs) or chrome?
Thx

Anyone bought the Harrington Group bumpers
Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, we have decided to turn off the light at the end of the tunnel. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Re: Anyone bought the Harrington Group bumpers
I have not, but I am looking at them and will likely do the bumpers next year.
There was a good thread a bit ago on them on this forum: http://www.fiatspider.com/f08/viewtopic ... 15&t=12319
There is so much good information available that it is hard for me to sift through. I don't use the forum search myself. I will go a google site specific search to find what I am looking for. Since I had recently sifted through discussions, I knew the one above had good detail and (very importantly) good pictures. Here's the search I used to refind it: https://www.google.com/search?safe=off& ... guoknORQpw
Best regards,
- K.

Re: Anyone bought the Harrington Group bumpers
don't buy the mounting kit, it is simply not worth the money considering how much extra work you have to do to get them to fit.
I found the bumpers where of good quality.

azruss, your pictures on that thread were quite nice. I didn't see any upclose on the exterior of the finished product though. Any chance you could add one to that thread or this one? The shots showing how you needed to modify the mounting kit was helpful since they were clear and detailed.

Go to the 1st page of the "custom Stuff" section. I have a few posts in there showing the front bumper from different angles.I didn't see any upclose on the exterior of the finished product though. Any chance you could add one to that thread or this one?

Re: Anyone bought the Harrington Group bumpers
I have recently bought the Harrington bumpers, and their brackets. Making them fit nicely is my job for the next few weekends! As others have said the bumpers themselves look nice but the brackets don't really do a good job at all.

azruss did a very nice job taking pictures of what he did to make them fit. I would be ever so appreciative if you had some time in your weekends to add to this. I'm hoping to do the same in the future and knowing how these things have turned out and what they looked like is ever so helpful.dickykitch wrote:I have recently bought the Harrington bumpers, and their brackets. Best of luck!
Re: Anyone bought the Harrington Group bumpers
I bought the Harrington bumpers about 5 years ago and I'm very happy with them. My car is a 1974 model and I had to modify my brackets to suit the mounting points on the bumpers to suit. They are the earlier style and wouldn't fit but once it was all sorted the result is great.

No problem with that - I will document what I have to do as best I can and post the results. I may even draw up the modified brackets so others have an easier time. Might take me a while though - too much to do!PittsburghKevin wrote: azruss did a very nice job taking pictures of what he did to make them fit.
