My Spider started first thing but shut off pretty quickly and was clearly running very "sluggish" when it was running. I pulled the filter from the carb and I could hear the electric pump buzzing and a sort of "gurgling" sound from the hose but no trickle, an occasional drip only. Then I pulled the hose before the filter and same thing. gurgle, drip here and there but no trickle and certainly didnt seem like 2-3psi like I would expect.
Any ideas on how much fuel should come out with an electric pump? The pump is only a few months old. Should the gas flow be heavier than just an occasional drip? Pressure doesnt seem high enough to "push" the fuel up to the carb but maybe it doesnt need to...?
thanks
Wont start- fuel pump?

Electric pump should produce steady stream like small garden hose. Got fuel in tank??

Gauge shows more than half tank. Unless that's not working! Thanks for the. reply. Tonight I will check hose just after the pump

Re: Wont start- fuel pump?
Is there a filter inside the tank? My friend said sometimes there's a "sock" type filter at the pickup in or near the tank that could be clogged. I was thinking of blowing out the line with my compressor. Is it better to blow it out fro front to back or vise versa? Thanks

Sigh
car was out of gas. gauge was reading half tank. put a gallon in, still reading half tank. dove and filled er up so Ill see what happens as it depletes.
what part(s) would I swap out first?

Did that. It looks very clean presumably because its spent its life in a protected environment...? The contact points look good. Float seems to have a good range of motion and moves freely.
Was able to see some sediment in the tank but not a lot. Looks pretty clean. I will keep an eye on the level as I deplete the currently full tank. It did change when I filled it.
