So as the title says... What apparel do you wear to avoid your head being sunburnt whilst enjoying the benefits of the top down and the sun out?

Oregon State Univ baseball cap works for me but an Italian fedora is on my Christmas wish list.

A "boonie" hat works well. Here's an example: http://fabulesslyfrugal.com/wp-content/ ... ie-Hat.png. The chin strap comes into play above 45 mph. Nice thing about this style is that it keeps your head shaded yet cool and also protects your ears and neck. I use a baseball cap sometimes but either sport it backward to keep it from ending up in the grill of the guy behind me or I use a tether that clips the hat to my shirt collar. The downfall of brimmed hat in a Spider is if it hits the headrest - then it becomes a pain in the neck (literally!). Other than that, SPF 50 on any exposed skin and a long-sleeve shirt for those extra "sunny" days so you don't toast your arms. Good quality sunglasses are a must. Not just to be "cool looking" but it's amazing how bright chrome, others windshields, etc. can be when you don't have some sort of tinted or polarized glass to look through.

All the above goes out the window if you're just doing an early morning or late evening run. Then you just need to keep the bugs out of your eyes and mouth.

Snazzy hat has been ordered.

Wife wanted me to get a bonnet (like little house on the prairie) that ties under the chin... Me thinks her sense of humour is spilling over. lol
