glove box door latch
I had a dashcap installed and now the latch won't engage. Is there a way to: extend the latch mechanism or move the inner latch forward?

the latch bracket is has mounting slots, so it can be adjusted. The whole mechanism is the poorest design known to man. I am thinking about making my own custom latch bracket on of these days. (#143 on the priority list)

If you loosen the two screws, the latch can slide front to back and vice versa. Only about a half inch total travel in the slots. I just had to make my slots wider as the new dash mounting for the bracket was off about a quarter inch to the side. I now have 4 way adjustment, but its at its limit side to side otherwise I would run out of bracket material to widen the slot.

Re: glove box door latch
Thanks for the answers,... The folks who make the caps could be making some extra money if they made up a replacement part Anyway, I appreciate the insights. I have a parts car, so I'll use it to figure out a new latch. Can you post a picture of what you made?
