Veglia Gauge Condensation

my fuel gauge was the only one that seemed to 'fog up'. i attributed it to the water adsorption properties of the ethanol-laced fuels we are forced to use.

Thanks, guys. I thought I was the only one that got a cloudy temp gauge.

I attributed it to humid conditions, but wanted to be sure.

I've been having fogging problems this year on most of the gauges. I thought it was something I just had to live with, however after reading these posts I just pulled the dash back, drilled a very small hole in the top of each gauge and voila, within 2 or 3 days the gauges are all crystal clear again. I would have never have thought it could have been such a simple fix!

Nice, drilling holes worked. My assertion was based only on what i have heard and theory. I have not had the intestinal fortitude to actually drill the holes.
