Just out of Interest , how much have you spent ?
Re: Just out of Interest , how much have you spent ?
Let me get the pile of invoices together and let my OCD daughter to do an EXCEL spreadsheet for me. She is great with numbers. LOL. I know i gave Mark at least big money in... exhaust ($700.00), header ($650.00), gunmetal Competizone rims ($419.00 ebay), lug bolts ($40.00), anti-theft lug locks ($12.00), distributorless ignition system ($550.00), Abarth style deck emblems x 2 ($40.00), Abarth horn button emblem ($6.00) Valve stems $12.00). That is $2429.00 without shipping. Thanks Greg for all the help BTW! $500 from Vickautosprts for misc. parts including suspension and brake parts. Thanks Matt great service. Fiatspider.com parts for steering and suspension, engine, transmission and body parts hard to find stuff (they can get most of the OEM Italian stuff)... $500.00. That's 3429.00 so far plus $1500.00 for the car plus $150.00 to U-HAUL for a trailer. MISC hardware store parts, paint and tools... ($200.00) = $5279.00 and Giada is still sitting on jack stands in the driveway. And the total keeps growing!!! Gotta love FIATs!!! How sick are we?

$5200 for a rust free solid 80 FI car, probably another $3000 so far in parts, plus some labor charges for stuff I needed a lift to do.

Not too much in it now, But surely more to come. Rear seat delete, shoulder belts, headlight relay, dent repair and paint, new dash, remove luggage rack weld fill and paint, would love to do half bumpers, driving lights, new fuse block, new top with zip out rear window, Etc etc etc...
As I heard on a three wheeler forum, "when I die I hope my wife doesn't sell my toys for what I told her I paid for them."

Wish I had read that before I bought my car. I'm also up to $15k, and my car is not nearly as well done as yours. Better keep a close eye on it at Eunice's Sunday.baltobernie wrote:I'm up to about $15k, but there are some maintenance items now, after 20k mikes.
