Love it! Made me recall the article circulating on the net about an Austin Mini with a Yamaha R1 engine (http://www.carscoops.com/2012/06/crazy- ... ngine.html) 8) .

Mark - What are the approximate HP/torque numbers? Is it the stock tranny/rear end?

the motor is a stock 85 302, roller cam motor with the FI removed and a 2bbl carb mounted with an AOD automatic trans. The rear end is the stock TR6 unit

Between what Mark is doing with a 302 in the TR6 and the sport bike engine in a Mini it started making me wonder about the possibilities. A few weeks ago I went to the circle track and watched the stock car races. In one of the heats they had "Dwarf" cars running. Sounded like a bunch of dirt bikes buzzing the oval and then I learned that they were actually specially built "dwarf" versions of cars with sport bike engines. I started looking into what it would take and found a guy in Phoenix, AZ that builds them for a living (http://www.dwarfcar.com/). I also checked out the Pro-Motive site (UK - http://www.pro-motive.co.uk/index.php) to see just what it took to convert a Mini (FWD, of course). The reason this peaked my interest is that I see so many Spiders that "ran when parked" or "doesn't run." Some of the cars look really good but you know going into it that you have some serious work to do. If you're going to put THAT much work into it, why not try something different? My mind started wandering and day-dreaming ensued. What would a Spider with a sport-bike engine be like? 8) What if you dropped in a Harley? My wife says I've been out in the sun too much. (Truth be known, she's probably right!)

I'm looking forward to hearing more about how Mark's TR6 turns out!
