She is close to driving! Only if I can get it before my wife. Hope to back it out of shop Friday. Still have a little to go on new roof top. Speaking of roof, do you have to cut canvas to expose wire to run over u-channel on top of back side window?

On step 20. "Step Twenty: Take a break now and clean up all those things that you'll no longer need. This gives the top a little time to stretch." Just 10 more steps to go on roof.

When the wire exits the sleeve past the rear quarter glass it goes straight to the holding clips. Does your top not already have the exit points in the sleeve?

All right folks my last post on this thread. She is insured, licensed, and inspected making it road ready. Thanks for all the support and help in getting the projected completed. Two weeks in restoration I was ready to sell before getting encouragement from forum members. I also want to give a special thanks to Dennis aka “dmwhiteoak” for all his help and guidance; I could not have completed this project without him.

Here are my pictures of finished car. I say finished I guess you are never truly ever finish.

Glyn, the car looks great! I'm glad I could help but you did do all the work. All credit goes to you and your wife. I'm glad to see one more Spider on the road.
