My brother is a professional painter/body man, he paints million dollar cars for car shows, here in n dakota and sometimes he gets flown to San Francisco to paint chip foose cars

the pre-rubber bumper cars(circa -1974 and earlier) command the larger prices generally. they also had the a-series engines w/twin carbs from the factory. guess i'm showing my roots  . always liked the classic minis better, though.

Its a fun little car, very little. My sister bought a new green 79 way back. You can put your hand out over the door and touch the ground. As I remember , i would always leave home in my then 8 year old 71 spider. Always came back under its own power. The little green MG was towed home alot. My sister finally gave it to my brother who got tired of towing it and sold it for 50 bucks. If it really suits your tastes buy it. If its well sorted out, you will enjoy it. Dont know what the value is though.

"Do I Need This"

Nope... invest in a bunch of parts... standard wrenches, nuts and bolts, threads... don't get them mixed up.. with the metric fiat stuff.
If you were to sell it.. going to get your money back out of it.. Those things are puney..You could drive the car under some of those jacked up pick-up we see out there.
Joey probably wouldn't like it anyway... :D

I once got stuck in a midget in a dealer showroom in Vancouver. Took 4 sales guys to help with the extrication. That's pretty much when I decided to buy a Spider instead of British iron.
